FPI-ATOC on Vatsim

Recommended Posts

Guest Buck Bolduc

I'm new to the on-line flying scene.I recently downloaded ATOC and can connect to their servers with no problems and can hear the controllers OK. I understand the need to register with avsim because of the trouble makers out their. My question is, if at a later date, and being registered with Avsim, would it be possible (ordered headset) to join as an observer at least?I'v been flying the PMDG 737-NG and some one posted a link to FPI. I had fooled arround with squawkbox-SB in fs9 and to be honest I could not get the darn thing to work, spent many hours. When sqauwk box 3 is released maybe it will be ok. AOTC installed with no problems the first shot, this behind a LinkSys router set up as a Gateway using DHCP and the loopback 127001 in AOTC. Allso installed Server Info which works great with FPI, I'm sure it works well with Vatsim etc. Thanks for your help!regards

AFAIK The FPI software will not work with VATSIM, it was developed by FPI for their network and although offered to both IVAO and VATSIM niether of them took up the offer. If you search this, or the ProController, forum you should find other posts re. the FPI software.Rgds

>>and although offered to both IVAO and VATSIMThis is not true. For a software to work with VATSIM the developer has to adhere to some standards, both technically and administrative, including a written agreement with VATSIM. The developer of ATOC is fully aware of these requirements, but has never applied to VATSIM for these.Yours,Martin Georg/EDDFVACC-SAG PR & Events Coordinator *** mailto:sag11@vacc-sag.orghttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...r=SAG01&a=a.jpg
