After all my problems with the firewalls I am now getting close to actually speaking to someone. The only problem I have now is that when I try to connectI get a message "Your callsign was not found you must log in on a VATSIM server bfore joining a voice channel". I am obviously not doing something I should be doing. Can anyone help please?

You must be connected to the network with SquawkBox before you can use voice. Please visit the VATSIM Pilot Resource Center at www.vatsim.net/prc and work your way through the appropriate module for your flight sim version (103b, c , or d). Follow ALL of the steps and you should be all set.

I went through my set ups and found one of my call signs were wrong. I seemed to get logged in after that. However I never heard anyone and I think I have a problem with my AVC.I tried uninstalling then reinstalling it but it is impossible to uninstall all of its components as it seems write protected. Now I cannot use it at all!If you try to reinstall in the same folder it just comes up with error messages. If I try to run it it says that Port 3290 is in use and to close down the other programmes but nothing is in use.How can I get rid of all elements of AVC then reinstall afresh?I get no AVC set up window at all.

Its ok I have found that if you try to uninstall after a session you are blocked. If you close down the restart the computer it allows you to uninstall.
