No FS2002 axis for cowl flaps?

Recommended Posts

Guest gasebah

Hi,after I got my 2 engine prop quadrant I ended up with alot of unused axis' in my home cockpit. So I wanted to assign the cowl flaps to them, only to learn that there is no directX command in FS2002 for them. Is there a way to do it anyway?Alex

Never mind. I already found the answer. But still there is no way to adjust the right and left cowl flap separately. Maybe someone can figure that out. Finally, finally I have more buttons and switches, than I have functions to assign :-).Alex

Did you check the latest FSUIPC? It can access all kinds of things in FS.Peter http://bfu.avsim.net/sigpics/PeterR.gifBFU Forums Moderator

http://bfu.avsim.net/sigpics/logo75t.gifBush Flying Unlimited"At home in the wild"Looking for adventure? Hi Peter, my friend, yes I had a look into FSUIPC, and actually there are separate command for the left and the right engine cowl flaps. However they are keystrokes, not axis. I can assign one axis of my old CH Yoke to the command in FS2002, but I cannot do it in FSUIPC. The command inside the FS assign section however is only for all cowls at the same time. But at least I managed to get an axis working for the cowls, that is more than I expected. With the CHControlManager you can assign keystrokes to an axis, that did the trick. This is really a minor issue, definitely not worth such a long post.Cheers,Alex
