Saitek Command Pad

Has anyone considered the use of a Saitek Command Pad P8000 (also known as Dash 2) for use in a cockpit? This pad has 70 programmable keys (key strokes and/or macros), so should be great for use in a cockpit environment.Any comments?Keith....Wherever you go, there you are...
