Using a second joystick for throttles

Recommended Posts

Guest

I am building a 767 throttle quadrant. I am using a Logitech joystick for roll and pitch control, and wish to use my second joystick (disassembled) to control left and right engine power. The disassembled joystick's pots and switches work when tested in the Control Panel, but do not have any effect on the throttles in FS2K2, despite having tried assigning the resources to the various pots on my disassembled joystick. Only the "throttle" pot can contol throttle for some unusual reason. I wish to use two of the pots because the 767 has two engines. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

You can all relax, I fixed it.I had the sensitivities turned all the way down for the throttle axis. I just turned them up and that solved the problem. Another question, though:I will be replacing the pots that came with the Logitech joystick, but I'm not sure what rating to buy. I have heard people mention using 100kOHM linear(:( potentiometers. Would this be compatible with a Logitech Wingman Force joystick? Thanks in advance,Kenny

All joysticks that I know of are 100K but USB ones don't necessarily have to be. Since you have the pots, it's best to measure their resistance with an ohm meter.Peter http://bfu.avsim.net/sigpics/PeterR.gifBFU Forums ModeratorRenegade/Seawolf Design Group (RSDG)

http://bfu.avsim.net/sigpics/logo75t.gifBush Flying Unlimited"At home in the wild"Looking for adventure? are you using 2 two joysticks to game port? or USB and Game port. In the FS you need select the proper joy and assign the axis. If you have two switch between both. If you use two game port joy thru Y conector you need set RUDDER/PEDALS in the control panel.Jose
