Hi Rafael,we all see and recognize your excellent work. But everyone ask, and ask again:Can you please, in short, describe what techniques you used? How did you for example do the lettering and backlighting if the panels? Hand made or machine made? Please, TELL us!Cheers!/ Olle R

Hello all,I find the nature of this thread somewhat unusual for a forum that serves us all for the exchange of knowledge and ideas. I find it hard to believe that Rafael (aka perchas) is overlooking to mention these panels are going to be offered commercially. My instinct tells me that this is a use of this forum for untasteful commercial hype.Naturally, manufacturers, suppliers, etc, are mentioned often enough here. The difference being, at least we know what and who we are dealing with.I don't mean to sound venomous or angry (eager as everyone else is though !). Should these items Rafael has been displaying be for sale I would seriously consider them. If he cares not to at least disclose this fact then it would impact me negatively for future consideration of making a purchase of his product.I only request an ethical disclosure of your intentions Rafael and look forward to more information about your creation.Thankyou to everyone in this forum. Though I am not much of a contributor, I certainly have learned so much from all of your posts.Take care,Thomas Peterson

Rafael has specifically stated he makes these for his own use."In response to In response to 28Hi All, I have made these panels for my own use, is not my intention to commercialize them, however, they generated such a big interest that I am crushed. "However, he leaves the door open to doing something 'else' because of the interest. I think that is 'ethical' enough for me.I had the same questions as you do...just because of the apparent lack of information on how to do this. My own research, and comments from Rafael, make it clear that this is a laser cut and engraved solution. I am actually working with a laser engraving firm to produce my own panels (and, no, I don't intend to commercialize!)...and when I get some progress, I'll post the details for all.Remember, this is a forum to 'share' information. While we want a lot...it is also at the discretion of the member to 'share' what they feel comfortable doing. The different levels may be for commercial, language or time-based reasons. No reason to suspect ethical issues.

Estimado Thomas:It seems that the previous messages are not too clear by myself. Neither have you understood the philosophy of this work.If I intented to commercialise this items, I wouldn't have written the cost to make the PCBs, for example. In other messages and different threads (I think), in a conversation with Tiger (Tuomas), the craftmanship process is explained. I just can't use as much time as I'd like to to answer private messages here, explaining all the information i have collected. That's what my website is for. As you can see in it, more than 60% of the project is still under construction. And it's becoming quite an effort to carry on with this non-commercial project. Since I am a rookie in web page design, thanks to Pantu's help, I'll be able to post all the info I have once I finish my website.Sir, first I'd like to start enjoying my simulator project. And making sure I don't give incorrect guidelines to others so they don't make the same mistakes I made. How do you understand the final text in the tutorials you can see in my website (still under construction)?http://personal.telefonica.terra.es/web/ka.../e_knitter.htmlThis amateur simulation world is one where some think that people building sims have unlimited funds. However, many people put their work and knowledge available to others at no charge and expecting nothing in return. Your instinct may be betraying you, since it is by all known that these PCBs and panels are for use with FSBUS, and Dirk Anderseck (the author)prohibits any commercial interest in his work. You should think twice before you express your public opinions hurting other people's images. I have a professional life I make a living out of all apart from this simulation hobbie.Regards,Rafael.

Hello Rafael,And sorry for seeming so stern. I wont pretend that it wasn't my mindset when writing my previous post.Thankyou for your response, although I am sorry my disposition put you on the defensive. Time can be short enough without having to answer to a mistaken presumption on my part. I offer my apology.I hope you accept my compliments as well. Your website is developing quite nicely. FSBUS is the route I have chosen for an interface as well, so I look forward to seeing how your project develops. With some help from "Web Translator" (software) I have to agree with Roberto's response. Questioning someone's ethics on a baseless assumption is "estupidez". It will not happen again.Sincerely,Thomas Peterson
