Where do you get concentric buttons ?

Just willing to know where you get your concentric buttons ?? !! Carefull I'm not speaking here about dual rotaries or encoders of any sort, I already got that behind the panel. What I want to find is what is in front of the panel now !!I'm currently working on the Collins sets of NAV/COM's... like that one :http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/59951.gif(By the way gif is at real size)thks

But yea, those are quite big. Knobs are carried by a number of electronic component suppliers. Try Mouser www.mouser.com and Allied www.alliedelec.com You can also take a look at the knob manufacturers sites for a wider selection. Search on "control knobs" or "instrument knobs". These manufacturers generally don't sell retail, but often list their retail channels.A less expensive approach is to drill through the top of a 1/4" knob and use it for the lower knob for a concentric control. I went to Radio Shack and got a set of replacement car stereo knobs... the old style. They're black, concentric, and I think they come two sets to a package.Other places such as car parts stores should have similar.Of course, they have a little half-moon keying notch in them since they were meant for potentiometer shafts, but you can ream that out or use it to your advantage.In any case, they're fairly cheap compared to other choices.Kev
