Question on Rotary encoders for FSBUS!!

Ok wired a rotary encoder I have yesterday I have attached a pic but it only turns one way I mean if you use it for heading Bug it only turns clockwise, how can you do so it works properlly so it turns both ways?? http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/75388.jpg

When that stuff happens to me, it's usually that I have specified thw wrong kind of encoder.Cheers

Probablemente ese es el problema creo que los mios son Grey...:-( es que soy tan malo para esta mierda de wiring, me tendras que ayudar amigo espero que puedas... viro_online@hotmail.com mi e-mail.Gracias por el Tip, ahorita estoy en el proceso de cablear todo mi MCP partes realer.Saludos.Roberto

Quieres un panel para el color matching del Boeing te los mando ahorita mismo si quieres mi amigo, que me costaria el kit de radios?? Crees que no los podriamos adaptar a mis partes no es muy dificil el panel es bien sencillo, ma

Looks to me like you're missing some wires. You need a minimum of 3 wires connected for a rotary to work in both directions, except that yours has 4 pins. Is it an optical rotary perhaps? What kind of encoding does it use?

I doubt you have a "grey" there. It looks like an optical to me with 4 pins.

You're fortunate it's working...Probably (and i mean i'm guessing), central 2 pins are for power, outer two are for actual output.May even be already decoded rotaries, don't know.
