Question for IOCARD user

Hi, 1. I just finished wiring all 7 seg LED display and discover that the initial "1" in radios are not displayed as well as the decimal point.There seems also to be a little trick used in AP-ALT selector in order to save some displays. When I config the offsets I get 00018 instead of 18000 ( and the layout of my displays is correct)I am now a bit confused since all 7 Seg Displays have been soldered on PCB.What's the solution. Getting an output from the Master Iocard for each missing segments seems absurde. What are your experience and how did you resolve that issue. Applying directly 5 volt + resistors ?? Any suggestions are very welcome.2. I get also totally confused with the way the ADF offsets O34C and O356 are handled. I cant get any correct display, specially when using all the examples from the manual. Lets take 5 displays from 0 to 4Normally "0" should display the value after the decimal point managed by offset 03561-2-3 are the first three digits managed by offset 034CAnd now the 1000 in that case "4" is managed by 0356. :-newburnThanks so much for your helps. :-violinRegardsRoger

Roger,With respect to topic 1:Have a look at my site site: www.nicokaan.nl , ils page, about the NAV1/OBS panel I made with IOCards. You can display the missing 1 via a speciale '1' "variable" in IOCards, but for the decimal point you need 5V and a resistor of 220 - 330 ohm, 1/4 Watt. I'm afraid you're to late now, since you have already soldered the 7-segment displays on the PCB...Nicowww.nicokaan.nl

Roger,>As regards the "1" variable I have not find anything in the>manuals about it. >Do you know more about it ??There is an english tutorial called 'A320 radio configuration file for IOCards' (Downloads, IOCards manuals, and then first entry).In there you will find the concept of the LIBRE variable that is given an initial value of 1.At least that's where I got it from. The idea is actually quite simple, instead of reading a byte in FSUIPC corresponding to a real time FSIM value, you read from a free byte in FSUIPC and let it initialise first with a value by IOCards ...
