Quick ATC question...

When an ATC controller, usually the clearance controller, says - "...expect FL 390 10 mins after departure...." Does that mean that the ATC expects you to be at FL 390 10mins after you depart or that 10 mins after you depart you're cleared to ascend to FL 390?[br][br][div align=center][br][link:members.cox.net/fstimes/wetimage.html]Click Here For Weather Image of the Day!

Same thing goes forinstance with holdings. When you are cleared into a hold, the controller will (i.e. is required) to give you an EFC time (i.e. Expect Further Clearence time), again just in case you loose your comms, so you know to leave the hold at that time.Regards,Onno
