Strange pressure changes! and ATC cancelling IFR Fl...

HiI've exoewrinced this a couple of times. Using the real weather tool from fs2k2, and certainly after a weather base change, i suddenly get an altitud change read very strange. For example, i was flying today on a 777 going from 22000 ft for FL370, and suddenly the altitud redout was 2500 ft!, then atc started saying please expedite your climb to FL370. The thing is that there was no physich change in the aircraft altitude, but just in the redout. Anyone experinced this before, how to avoid it if possible
