Rather stupid question

Can anyone tell me in what does VFR flying exactly consists? The reason I'm asking is because I have this tutorial of a virtual airline that tells the following:Departure airfield: LPCS Arrival airfield: LPCVMandatory passage point:FTM(VOR)What do I have to do here?? Does anyone know?I already did this flight but apparently was wrong. What I did was: I set the VOR frequency in the NAV 1 and I followed the radial to the the VOR; from there I left the VOR bound to LPCV and landed with visual procedures.I know these sort of procedures are very easy and maybe that's why I can't undestand them so I would appreciate some help. Thanks Clear skies, Happy landings!!!

VFR - is flying using primarily your eyesight in navigating from A to B. But if you can tune some VOR once in a while and verify your position - that won't hurt either.Michael J.

Ice,You did exactly what I would have done. I can't imagine what you might have done wrong unless you didn't land at the field without the standard approach (downwind, base and final). Also, maybe you were supposed to contact the tower and request landing permission.Let us know when you find out for sure.Regards, John
