Nvidia Card Problem. Please help

Recommended Posts

Guest

After reading the forum regarding the new Nvidia detonator drivers and tried the 30.82 drivers as my system is Win98SE and the new drivers are for Win2000 and XP. My card is Gforce2 MX400 32 Mbyte. After I installed the 30.82 drivers I encountered small issues while flying and decided to go back to 29.42. I followed the usual uninstall from the control panel and then the Detonator deleter, in error I run version 1.02 of the detonator deleter this restarted my computer and do not know whether it deleted the files properly. From then onwards each time I install any Nvidia driver, my system hangs, the last entry in the Bootlog.txt is NVARCH16.dll as loadsuccess and the windows desktop does not show up. I used the Detonator Deleter ver 1.02.1 which works without restarting my system but still have the same problem.I appreciate all the help as my computer is un-usable now. Thanks Tony

Thank you Alex you solved my problem. I think this is something that everybody should know as it could be something required to remove the new drivers. Thanks againTony

You might well try the same procedure with the 30.82s now and see if you still have "issues". I think most of our issues come from mixed up drivers.Glad I could help.Alex
