Guest HemisphereVA

Hemisphere Virtual Airlines is at it again. In 2 weeks we will be adding a pair of Boeing 747-400's to our line up, with routes to match their performance. The Boeing 747-400 will take the place of the ill fated (in HVA service) A380-800, and will handle several non-stop trans-Atlantic and trans-Pacific routes as well as coast to coast high density domestic service. Flights to Boston (BOS), New York (JFK), Washington, D.C. (IAD) will begin as soon as the aircraft are released. Additional service to Taipei and Tokyo will start one week later.A dedicated freight version of the 747-400 will take the role of bulk cargo hauling from Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW) to Taipei, Tokyo, Seoul, London, Paris and Rome. Bulk domestic cargo will be flown to DFW from Honolulu (HNL) and other locations. Much of the cargo operations will be charter work, routes will be assigned on a by request basis. Besides adding a total of 6-10 new service locations HVA has been developing more short haul domestic routes and service from DFW to the Caribbean will begin in March. A total of 10 aircraft types are now in service with the airline, and more than 10 others are in storage if they are needed.Full scale pilot recruiting has also begun, with a 10 hour bonus to any new hire pilots joining HVA between February 10th and March 1st.
