Real Pictures over the Los Angeles Basin Area

Featured Replies

These are some pictures my wife took while we were out flying on a Sunday afternoon. One is of Long Beach, one is of us at 4500' in the LAX special flight rules area and the other is us on final into Hawthorne airport (KHHR). Enjoy!Damon

I love LA! I got my private out of SNA, I used to pick my sister up at SBA using the special VFR corridor over LAX (where it looks like you took at least a couple of those picks.) I moved to North Dakota to go to college and all, but I'll be back in SNA after 4 years, thanks a lot for reminding me of home!

awesome shots, i am from australia but my virtual airport is LAXyou got any more?to post?:9 :9 :9

Nice pictures especially the 2nd one, good to see that the Queen Mary is being looked after ;-)I'm going to LA, San Francisco, Vegas, Grand Canyon ,etc next year, cant wait! :-)Bill

>I'm going to LA, San Francisco, Vegas, Grand Canyon ,etc >next year, cant wait! :-) That's funny. I'm from LA (well, Pasadena), and I went to San Francisco, Vegas and the Grand Canyon all in the last year....Next up is the Pacific North-West--Seattle and British Columbia. But I can wait for that trip...after all, it's only another week-and-a-half to go.

Great Shots!! I love them!!But I think its time to change the world's video card to get rid of the blurries! :-lolWolfgang

Nice pics. I'm off flying in the next 3hrs :)What are the landing fees like there? (I'm from UK)CheersWill

I do have more pics. I will be posting more as I continue to fly. Thanks for the input.Damon

So that's what my city looks like when it's sunny? I've only flown in 2000ft ceiling overcast/broken clounds over LA and didn't get to see much. But I did do a 180 over the twin towers to land in KSMO. When you have more please post!http://turnhead.com/dot/alex/banner-retro-cool.gif
