January 13, 200620 yr DETROIT--MetroAir Airlines has announced the final ferry of initial aircraft to be used in the initial route service to be operated by the airline. It has long been known that MetroAir could not support the initial service offering on the already acquired and delivered fleet of three (3) Boeing 737-200Adv and three (3) DHC-8-Q200 aircraft, however executives from the group remained silent when questioned about how the airline intended to service the listed routes with too-few aircraft.At 1:30pm PST, MetroAir released a press release outlining the delivery of three (3) additional Boeing 737-200Adv aircraft secured on dry lease under private terms, to be delivered from the California desert to Detroit Metro Airport late Saturday evening.Two (2) of the aircraft have been serviced, painted, and prepped for delivery from Mojave Airport
