3.6.06Airbus Rolls out First A330-300 for Pan Am VAToulouse, FranceEarlier this week Pan Am VA CEO, Ben Zwebner, anounced that Pan Am VA would be acquiring 10 Airbus A330-200's to replace their aging fleet of 767-200s. On Thursday June 1st, the Airbus assembly plant in Toulouse france rolled out the first of Pan Am VAs new aircraft. The Aircraft, still in Primer paint was still without its engines. The aircraft was scheduled to make its first test flight that afternoon. "I am not worried" said Zwebner. "Airbus is doing a magnificent job of assembeling these planes, I have full faith that we will see that bird in the air by tonight"There were some complications with the engines and the test flight had to be pushed off till the next day. This time there were no disspointments, the flight went off without a hitch. "Its breath taking" Ben told us.
