Are they worth it?

I'm kinda new to simming. Bought FS02 right when it came out and have gotten pretty good at flying and landing the big jets (default and freeware). I was thinking about buying some payware - either the PSS Airbus series or the Dreamfleet 737.Are they worth it? I don't mind a challange and want something new, but I don't ever fly on-line and usually just use the default flight planner so I don't mess around with complicated navigation.Should I take the plunge (and if so what program) or should I keep my money in my pocket and stick to what I'm doing?

well it depends on "as real as it gets"you want it to get,if you just like pressing a few buttons and get in the air and land well stick with the stock standard stuffif you want to learn how to program a FMC and fly like a real A320 pilot, for a few $$$ i would get the PSS or DF 737, it all depends whether u want to use this as a educational tool or purely for entertainment

They are worth it, but in both cases flightplanning is a good part of the fun.If for you it's only a minor part, get the 737 and Bill Buford's checkride manual.The 737 has a lot more work to be done to get her into the air, where you have to press a single button in a 320 you're running through several pages of checklists in a 737-400 sometimes :-rotorBut both are well worth the investment, a huge improvement on the default aircraft and panels.

Don't forget the 767 PIC. When coupled with the POSKY model it creates a marvellous package, one of the best on offer.The learning curve goes something like this:PSS 777, PSS 747, PSS Airbus and then either DF 737 or 767 PIC, both pretty much equally complex.
