New Version of the Frontier GMAX CV-580

Recommended Posts

Hi,Yes, old textures will work just fine, except for the upper part of the airstairs. This will be blue. However, while flying you'll never see it. Of course, you won't have the reflectivity or night lighting either. The VC instruments are very easy to change. Just open the plane's panel.cfg file in Notepad (in the planes PANEL folder) and go down to to the bottom of the file. There you will see the list of instruments on the main and radio panels. Just change the list to the gauges you would like to use, and change the numbers following each gauge to move them to a different spot.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://www.calclassic.com/Cal Classic Alco Page: http://www.calclassic.com/alco/Freeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

Great looking aircraft. I just downloaded it and it's SHARP looking. One question though. This is the first multi-engine plane I have downloaded that doesn't control both engines with the throttle/mixture/prop controls on my CH Yoke. Does anyone know what to modify to have these control both engines at the same time? Thanks!

Nothing wrong with the aircraft in this regard. Sounds like you've disconnected the throttles by using the E1+2 key method of starting it. Switch to a single engine aircraft, get it running, and then switch to the 580. I'm guessing that should cure it. Sounds like a startup sequence that got fouled up.Darrell

Yeah, I think somehow I messed up the throttle control when trying to open the door :) It works fine now.One problem I AM really having (I think) is that I can't seem to change the frequency of the com or nav radios on the radio stack. I can change the xponder but not the com or navs. Anyone else having this problem? the "-" and "+" appear when I hover with the mouse, but clicking doesn't change frequency. Strange.

To be honest, I didn't make any changes to the panel, so I didn't test it. If there is a standby frequency to the right of the "used" frequency, change that and then press the <-> button to switch frequencies. If there is no standby frequency, try replacing the Radios section of the aircraft.cfg file with this one:// Radio Type=availiable, standby frequency, has glide slopeAudio.1=1Com.1=1, 0Com.2=1, 0Nav.1=1, 0, 1Nav.2=1, 0, 0Adf.1=1Transponder.1=1Marker.1=1This eliminates the standby frequencies.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://www.calclassic.com/Cal Classic Alco Page: http://www.calclassic.com/alco/Freeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___
