'Cathay Pacific' callsign

Recommended Posts

Guest

Hi folks,The callsign "Cathay", have anyone used it before? I found it weird when I use this callsign. There are times controllers refer me as "China Southern". Not only my plane, AI traffic too. Controllers messed it up, only pilots (that's me and AI traffic ;) get it right. But not all controllers get it wrong though. Any solutions? Thanks!

I just put up with it, I think only one voice messed it up. Blame Microsoft :D I am quite used to it already. Your pilot voice doesn't change so that's why your pilot voice is always right. If you chose the messed up voice, then the pilot voice would probably be wrong every time.Kitty MercuryCathay Pacific Virtual Pilot (CX252)

Do you have the default usenglishbig.gvp or an updated one you might have download?I found an updated file had mislabelled about eight "C" airline names. The files were all there, just mislabeled. I changed them around and recompiled the entire file.It would be interesting to know if the default file also is corrupted.

The fix for this is already included in the sample file - no need to make your own.
