Blurries and Stuttering :(

Recommended Posts

Guest

I just upgraded my system not long ago to a P4 2.53, 512 PC2700 (333), Chaintech Main Board 9EJL1, and a PNY GeForce 4 ti4600 video card. I thought my new system would just down right "rock" when it came to FS2002 :(I constantly have stuttering and blurries....I have tried most newer drivers....30.82's, 40.41's, and the new 40.71's--all are about the same. I have my frame rate locked at 25 and rarely ever go below that...so frame rates are really good.I pulled the jumper on the Mother Board for the on-board sound, just as an experiment and tried it with no sound at all.....same ole' stuttering and blurries. I also went and set my AGP apeture size from 64 (default) to 128...no big difference. I disabled the AGP in DXDIAG...same, I set my monitor refresh rate from 60hz (default) to 75hz and noticed a slight improvment (don't know why?)I am using a program called "aTuner" to help tweak (set to 4xS antialiasing, 4x anisotropic filter, vsync on (also tried it off), and mipmap bias from anywhere in between -1.0 - -3.0. I am also running Win XP Home with the latest SP1 installed. What else can I do? I am spending more time "tweaking" than I am flying :( Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,Carl

Very strange indeed. I'd recommend trying out some new chipset drivers for your motherboard. You also might want to check on other device's drivers (network cards, sound cards, etc) and make sure that nothing is conflicting with one another.Ryan-Flightpro08 :-coolVATSIM Pilot/ControllerZLA ARTCC Controller 1 (C-1)SAN TRACON Lead [link:www.taxiwaysigns.com]Taxiwaysigns.com Scenery Designer-----------------------------My "Home Made" System Specs:Intel Pentium 4 2.2GHz ProcessorTurbo Gamer ATX Mid-Tower with 420W Power SupplyEPoX 4G4A Motherboard with Intel 845G ChipsetVisiontek XTASY GeForce4 128MB Ti4600 (Det 29.42 WHQL Drivers)512MB PC2100 DDR RAM40GB Matrox 7200RPM Hard DriveWindows XP Home Edition SP1*No CPU or GPU Overclocking*3dMark2001SE Score: 11298
