Thanks for those links! :D Just one question while I'm at it - Mike's FS version will be a Caravelle III, right? If so, wasn't the III fitted with a brake chute instead of thrust reversers?

Anniette, I adore your sense of humour. Keep it up.I've been digging in my hangar for my older Caravelles, of which I have three with three panels. The panels are:1. Caravelle Super 12 by Benoit Gaurant - 01-2001 - very detailed, for FS20002. Semi-photo FS98 panel file for Sud-Aviation Caravelle 210 by Ken Mitchell3. Caravelle panel by Michel Polski, 1998 (photoreal)Yet to try them all in FS2002, but has anyone used any of the above three with any success in FS2002? Benoit's panel is probably the one to go for to date, given that it's only one version behind and was packaged with a good flight model.Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontEDIT: I shall work on Benoit's panel myself and revert. It's very sexy, with good overhead, engine and radios panels.http://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

The model III did indeed use a parachute in place of thrust reversers. It had wing spoilers, but they were very small and extended well above the wing on three pivoting support arms. The Super Caravelle added new engines with thrust reversers and conventional spoiler panels on the wings.Mike Stone

Benoit's panel has no side views, but lots of good stuff. Here ... this is his email ... I'm going to have no time to work on a Caravelle mod, regrettably, as I have other projects in hand, but you could say something lovely to him in French ...http://www.swiremariners.com/C122k2.jpgbgaurant@free.fr Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

Caravelle's take-offs were impressive. And this bird once glided from Dijon (well-known for its mustard) to land in Orly (France), or about 200 miles.

Hi Mark,I've used the panel made by Benoit Gaurant in FS2000 - I liked it a lot.I understand that it has serious incompatibility issues with FS2K2.Let us know if you somehow make it work, it would be a very welcome add-on.Good LuckTwister

Hi TwisterThe picture you posted at the top of this thread is a good reference shot. It would make a nice "full view" alternative, also, if someone just blacked out the windows and stuck in a couple of AIs to make sure you flew the right way up. Permission required, of course.Tried Benoit's panel in FS2002 yesterday with my Swissair Caravelle and, yes, some issues. I'm exploring those but I shan't be wasting too much time on it: if Anniette (PR department and super-repainter to the stars) can work her exceptional charm on Benoit, perhaps the man himself will upgrade his work accordingly and add some views, who knows. Here's hoping .... Thanks for the offer of further views but, I am sure many talented panel designers will be clamouring to put together something decent for Mike's new bird, even if Benoit has no interest; so I'll leave it to the experts. I have other fun flightsim projects which will be keeping me busy over the next few weeks, so I'm not just being lazy!Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg
