Dual Monitor Problem

Recommended Posts

Guest ba747heavy

Hey all, I have Windows 2000 installed on my system, and I am havinga problem with the dual monitor support. First my system:Homebuilt, With 512 MG RAM, PNY Ti4600 with the 40.41 drivers, 80 Gig HDD, 13 Gig HDD, My Packard Bell 2020 on the VGA out on the Ti4600, and My Gateway Ev700 on a DVI/VGA Adapter, OS is Win2k, and Mandrake Linux 9.0(woo woo ;-))My problem centers around my EV700. Win2k sees it, displays to it, and has for a while. But yesterday, I was on it, and the 'blue fog of death' came and enveloped the monitor. After some investigation, I found out that the red channel was not being displayed, however, monitor self tests shows that it works, and so does Mandrake Linux 9.0. I deleted the drivers, reinstalled them(both for the monitor and the vid card), tryed darn near every config option I could find, to no avail. Can any of you guys help me?ThanksBTW -- I thought there was a forum for hardware here at Avsim. I would ahve posted this problem in that forum, but I couldn't find it. Prolly me age(16) showing!!Thanks againFred Clausen
