Here's the question:What is the aircrafts position relative to the station?1.East2.West3.SoutheastIt appears since the To/From flag is not indicated it would seem to me that you have just passed over the station. I am not seeing it.The example answer is 3(SouthEast). It seems that you would be headingNNE. The CDI is pointing left. It just doesnt seem correct.Any input would be appreciated.TksBobG

You must be just above the station, otherwise you should be able toread a to - from indication.Another possibility is that, the VOR is tuned in on a localizer. At least I don`t se other posibilities. Best regards S.Jensen

Even though this answer is probably not the solution to the question, it could also be slaved to the GPS.Craig

He's abeam the station to the southeast. The heading of the aircraft doesn't matter in this situation. Since the CDI is set to 030 and it says you're right of course, the station would have to be to your left, and since the flag is off, it means you're on the 120 radial, or southeast, answer 3

Hey, Bob,One crucially important thing to remember with VORs is, this is not an ADF. Your heading doesn't matter one slightest tiny bit to the indication in the cockpit -- at any one frozen moment in time. In this example, you could be heading 030
