I just read through the entire log of the trip. Very cool, and well done. We'll have to pull out the maps, and stops they made and put together a plan, but it looks like alot of fun!Cas

Two guys from my hometown in Virginia did almost the exact same thing in a 172 from a small grass airstrip called Rosegill. Pretty cool to read about it in the paper once they got back.

I've glanced through the logs... I think I'll go through them in more detail and do a rough map of it too.

Tell you what! You route the trip there, and I'll route the return trip. Include the altitudes they flew at as a reference, but of course we may need to change them based on our weather. After all this is October now, not August when they left.Edit:I'll paint up that 172 also.!Cas

I don't have any planning software, I was just going to use a map and get a rough idea which why they were heading. I guess I can get VOR's and things from FS2002 though right? Just a little work. I'll give it a shot and see how it looks. Then I'll let you know.

I'm still working on plotting out the route for the trip if you're still interested in flying it. I've been working 12 hrs a day for the last 2 weeks covering for someone. Hopefully that'll end soon!
