Question on Re-assigning PSS B777 Panel to other a/c...

Recommended Posts

Has anyone assigned the PSS panel to another aircraft? I'm wondering what (other then the alias statement in panel.cfg) I need to do to, and am guessing that the PSS panel most likely requires at least the .air file it was designed to work with, maybe the aircraft.cfg too? I'd apprecaie any advice from nayone who's done this already.Thanks,Bruce.

I'ver merged the POSKY visual models with POSKY 777 and 747 panels respectively. I like to use the PSS FDE and air files because the panel was designed to work with them. All you have to do is place a POSKY 777 (or POSKY 747, whichever you have) model and texture folder into the PSS-777 (or PSS-747) folder in your FS2k2 aircraft directory. Rename the model and texutre folder to the three letter code of the airline you choose (i.e. American Airlines would be model.AAL and texture.AAL) Finally, add the aircraft into the aircraft.cfg file and replace the PSS contact points with the contact points of either the POSKY 777 or 747, whichever you are using. It will work fine with most air files. The only problems you might encounter is fuel/flap settings. I use it as a panel for most of my planes that aren't complete packages and they always work fine.
