King Air Repaints / Design Versions

With envy, I have watched all the repaints and new versions of "heavy" aircraft being uploaded to AVSIM's file library. Recently, seems there is even more uploads from designers tackling the private, single engine frames.Just curious why the King Air (specifically) seems to get overlooked by all the talent out there doing repaints and new model release uploads ?Just a candid question. Obviously, I am a King Air fan. Yes, I'd sure like some new paint options....... I use the KA most (all) the time, with only tweaks being a newer, modified .air file, an additional guage (OAT), and a repaint that is well over 18 mths. old.Any explanation - much appreciated !Thanks !Ron

My guess is becuase repainting the default aircraft is an excercise in futility. I also like the King Air, but the problem with mirroring of the tail and fuselage really sucks. Also the bitmaps for the default are not high enough in resolution to get the fancy striping to look good. If some energetic soul could remap the textures so it did not mirror than my bet is we would se lots of repaints. UAD is doing a King Air that looks pretty darn nice. Hi Hornit,Thanks for the pic. It looks good! Who is UAD, if I may be so ignorant, and do they have a website?BTW, that's a 200, one of the earlier ones (three blade props). The 100s all had conventional tails, not Ts and were all unusual in having an all-moving stab for pitch trim. It was electrically powered and had an electrical backup system -- but no manual trim wheel!
