How exactly does this software work? Do I have to load a specific cloud set before my flight or are they generated by the real weather or sim generated weather? Im not interested in having to pre specify what clouds Im flying thru.Eric

I'm not sure, but I think a new version is going to be released soon. I believe that the new version will better integrate with FS2002. These guys put out commercialware product quality, but it's freeware. They deserve a ton of accolades for their efforts. You might check their website for updates.Allen

Eric,The way FSSW (in its present form) works is as follows. The clouds in FS2002 are simply bitmaps (bmp's). You download FSSW and the cloud packs from FSW and install as directed. The cloud packs have different looking bmp's from the default and other packs. Each pack has all the different clouds in it. However, each cloud in each pack will have a different characteristic than other packs.Anyway, you just install, click on the autorandom time (I like 10 minutes) which will randomly copy over new bmp's from a random pack into FS, and then hit install and run.You don't have to select a cloud to correspond with the type of weather. All the appropriate clouds are included in each pack. So if you fly through a thunderstorm, the clouds will look menacing. However, if the currently selected cloud pack is one with VERY menacing thunderstorm clouds, your sky will look quite forbidding. If that particular pack has not-so scary cumulonimbus clouds, they will show up but not scare the crud out of you.It works well with the philosophy that variety is the spice of life. Also, watch for the latest version that Chris says should be released soon.
