As far as I know there is no way to do this with FS2002. You could hear ATC separate if you are flying on line using something like squakbox with USB headphones. Sorry about but that. Hopefully we will be able to do that in future FS's.Take care,Gerry

I had the same question some time ago and got the reply of it's possible with two sound cards. Personally I would love to do this and hope that the next version is user friendly to this. I'm not to sure how to configure what sounds goes to the headset and what sounds goes to the speakers. Hopefully in the next version of FS it will be designed so this can be done on a more less guru basis. Also it would be nice if the comm radios had adjustable volume controls that worked so that you could have atis going in the background and a controller in in the foregound and they dont sound the same volume. Hopefully we might see these ideas but to work for the next one.Kilstorm

Actually, it is possible. Kind of. At least with my soundcard/setup.Here's how:I have the Logitech Z560 speakers, which is a 4.1 system (4 satelites and one sub). I'm using the Hercules Fortissimo II soundcard running the latest drivers and Windows XP. The soundcard has several connectors, the interesting ones are those marked "Rear speakers" and "Front speakers". Normally, I have the speaker cables connected to the corresponding jack on the soundcard. If I set up the soundcard to four-speaker mode, and start FS2002, I get engine sounds and other sounds such as flaps and gear motors through the front speakers. I hear the ATC through all four speakers. So, the rear speakers are actually only playing ATC sounds. So what I thendo , is that I disconnect the rear speakers, and instead, I plug my headphones into that jack. Now, I get only ATC through the headphones, and both ATC and Engine sounds through the front speakers. I haven't found a way to remove ATC from the front speakers, but you don't really hear it's comming from the speakers also, because you hear the same thing through the headphones.
