Hi, it will work just fine. Very few addons need the registry settings though, but you can edit the path to FS2002.exe easily running "regedit". Search for any of these lines and edit the last one according to your path.{HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator8.0}"Zone"="http://zone.msn.com/asp/fs02redir.asp""Version"="8.0""Retail"="1""Launched"="1""PID"="55411-442-6218103-91000""EXE Path"="f:FS2002"Best Regards, Uwe

Not sure, with all respect, that Uwe is right on this one. If you don't install FS2002 afresh on your machine and RUN IT AT LEAST ONCE WITHOUT ANY ADDONS, I think you may have major probs with your scenery library configuration.I recommend a clean install ... then move across AIRCRAFT, GAUGES, SCENERY, SCENEDB, MODULES, FLIGHTS and whatever other folders you have modified but AFTER running FS2002 once on your new setup. It's a pain to do it manually, but from experience well worth while to avoid headaches.Note that a critical file to move will be the FS2002/SCENERY.CFG file from your old rig.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

I agree with Mark, do a fresh install, then move the folders seprately (sp?). I have done this a few times, off of CD-R back-ups, and it works fine.

Hi there, you don't need to do a fresh install, exporting the registry entry and putting it on the new drive will work - but make sure you export the correct entry, don't use Uwe's serial number. You may notice some oddity when running it for the first time, but that can be fixed in a few seconds by editing one file.Cheers,Gosta.

I have done what youve suggested, just moved it and it worked fine, had to mess with config files, mainly for scenery and the main .cfg file.Last time though I did an uninstall after backing up all the files.. as I suspected it would it only uninstalled defualt files.. and any file I over wrote, such as water, cloud textures, .cfg files for defult aircraft I installed but anything that wsnt over written stayed untouched. so I thined down what I needed to transfer still had to install from the disks but all in all I prefered this method.
