FS2002 reboots my computer

HELP! I just had a clean install of WinXP home on my computer. I have a AMD 1.4GHz, 640MB RAM, GeForce3 Ti500 card. 5 min. into fs2002, the computer reboots itself. I've download the latest drive for my video card and it still reboots after about 5 mins. into the sim. Can someone help me with this problem? Thanks in advance

don't know - but FS2002 always crashed with me if I didn't disable DirectX sound acceleration. (DxDiag - sound slider all the way to left).Might not help but it's worth a try. :-)

Is your computer re-booting only with FS2002? Maybe the CPU is overheating? Have enough fans? Have you checked your CPU temp?Cheers

You might want to try different drivers... The latest might not always be the best for you. I had this problem before and tried different drivers and that solved the problem :)Jason

I have two fans. one on the CPU & one in the case. It only reboots when I run FS2002. This is driving me nuts. I downloaded the 30.82 drivers for the video card. This didn't help at all.

One other possiblity is that your power supply is going bad. I was having the same problem you are describing but it stopped when I replaced my power supply. Does not sound like it is driver related in my opinion. Have you been getting any other weird errors or problems (unexpected disk errors on start up for example). A dying power supply can be hard to detect unless it quits altogether.Just my two cents...Brewmaster

Hi George,As already mentioned above, I would check your CPU temp, as this may be the culprit. Could you also please post a few more details about your system (make/model, or mainboard info if you built it yourself). Also, are you running FS02 for the first time, or have you been using it and this is a new problem? It's always easier to help out when you are equiped with more information.

I found the problem. It was the sound. Thanks for all the help.
