Just wondering...

Recommended Posts

Hello, just wondering why some forums, you are unable to instantly post a message, instead every single post has to be reviewed by moderators? Are some forums more prone to volatile topics or what? Or is it a punishment to people who abuse the forums? I noticed the new 767PIC forum is now censored in this way. I wonder if maybe when Level D Sim releases their new product that their avsim forum will continue as their support forum. In my opinion that wouldn't be very productive, because I don't know about you, but when I post a question, I love having almost instaneous responses, and that's part of what makes this community great.Jeff USAF

If AVSIM hosts a support forum for a company, they have the option of asking to have a moderated forum, whereby they can review all posts before allowing them to be seen. The reasons as to why they want this option are there own. It is their forum, and they do the vast majority of the moderating of the forum. If they feel this provides them assistance with their forum, then they can use that option. As for forums which are provided by AVSIM for registered user use, none of the forums are moderated in that posts are reviewed beforehand.
