Been away, need info on addons

Recommended Posts

So, here's the story. I've been away from flight simming for about 8 months. Before that, I was using Fly 2, and have just recently purchased MSFS2K2.Would like to get some decent addons, preferably freeware, for nav, weather, and offline flying. I Need to find my copy of Radar Contact 2, and do all the particulars of installing in MSFS2000, then upgrading. Are there any other decent freeware programs and aircraft out ther to get me started again? Any help would be greatly appreciated.BTW, if you were wondering, this spring and summer, I have been doing a lot of R/C helicopter flying. Winter is setting in soon, so am looking forward to get back into simming!!To be a newbie, again!!!Brad Streeter

Hello Brad,I don't personally use it, nut FSNavigator come to mind, even if it is shareware, but a great utility all the same. What kind of aircraft do you want to fly today? There is always the likes of Project Airbus at this site(or their own www.projectairbus.com) if you are so inclined. For heavier things, I fly FFG DC-10's www.avsim.com/ffgIf you liked the Hawker (or Perigrine) in fly, you really must check out Yannick Lavignes Falcon 50!Also it is recommended that you get Peter Dowson's utilityFSUIPC. He recently got a "Lifetime achievement award" ata flightsim convention for that one. Loosely put, it is afeature/bugfix that MS never did.I hope these tidbits can get you going. Good luck.-Niels Christiansen
