Excellent work on the MU-2 USD guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recommended Posts

My dream come true...a flyable MU-2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You guys did a fantastic job on the aircraft, thank you again. It was worth the wait.....as will be your other releases I'm sure :)For now, as far as sounds go, may I recommend the YS-11 sounds from AFG. Another gentleman on here also suggested this and I am just echoing his opinion. Thanks!!!!!!Shane

http://www.simubuild.com/usd/our_work.htm:)It has a few issues...Flashing texture by right side of the window down the center windshild divider. Props won't stop when the engine is turned off (fuel cutoff) :(I hope they take a look into fixing these little problems, shouldn't take to long I'd guess.Other then that though she is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Shane

I agree...Outstanding job.... And it's the most fps friendly reflective aircraft I've seen...A fix for the prop issue...Open aircraft.cfg and look for the prop MOI entry. Lower it from 95 to 20....that worked the best for me. The MOI seemed a bit too high, and that caused the prop to flywheel even with the engine turned off...I haven't seen the flashing textures....What a week for releases.. First, Meljet's 747, and now the MU-2... Can't get better than that...-John

Thanks a whole bunch for the great comments! Sorry that some of you are still experiencing minor issues. We kind of been running around here the last few weeks like chickens with our heads cutoff. We'll do our best to get any minor glitches fixed in reasonable time. In the meantime, enjoy! It's the last remnant of Simubuild that you will see from us. All current and future projects will be USD! :-hah :-jumpyMike BaumannUnited Sim Designs

Here is a screenie of the flashing texture Mike (or anybody else at USD). The pic has been resized to 700x525 so I made an arrow to show where it is.Shane

I'm glad you posted the shot... I would have never noticed.... One thing's certain... Without a doubt, this is the best MU-2 ever released for 2k2... It's one of the best freeware twins ever released for 2k2.... Virtual wings, virtual cabin.... And from the outside, very clean lines.... I still can't get over how framerate friendly this aircraft is with reflections on. It was well worth the wait! Once again, thanks to the team "formerly known as Simubuild" for the hard work!-John
