I am not sure if the plane went down in Minnesota or Virginia but I guess it happened a few hours ago, pretty sad!!!!!!!! RIP

It was in EVELETH, MN. Very sad indeed, his wife and one of his daughters were thought to be aboard as well...

Horrible news... :( Plane was a Beech King Air 100 on approach 2 miles from the runway. I'm gonna bet icing or CFIT on a non precision approach...

I often wondered about the de-icing systems. You would think that with all the sophisticated technology around, not to mention the large amount of hot gases generated by a turbo, de-icing would be easier and less rudimentary. Anybody knows what kind of de-icing systems fighters use?

CNN is reporting he was on his way to Eleveth for a Funeral.That Area is Semi-Hilly wonder if that played a part in the crash.The Reason you heard "Virginia" is because Eleveth/Virginia is a Twin Cities, they are seperated by about 10 Miles I believe it is on Route 53. Eleveth is Home of the US Hockey Hall of Fame.
