Wing view for the Ariane 733?

Recommended Posts

Guest Timbo

I searched the forum but couldn't find it. I remember someone posting coordinates for a better wingview so you don't have to move backwards. If someone could post them I'd apprecitate it!Thanks![TABLE BORDER=0][tr][td]

Search for a line called "eyepoint" in the aircraft.cfg.... Change it to look something like this:eyepoint=-15, -1.67323, 3.77297 The first number (-15) controls your distance fore/aft of the COG (about mid-wing)...The second number (-1.67323), your distance right/left of the COG...The last number sets the distance up/down from the COG.....-John

The below info is using the Arianne panel config. By changing these entries, you'll get the normal pilots view when in the cockpit in all six positions. The 7th position (number 2 on keypad) gives you a wing view just behind the left wing. By changing the direction from 270 to 90 you get the right wing. Unfortunatly it won't show both. Tried to use the look down button, but FS has that coded to be an external view point and all you will see is the shadow of the wing on the ground.Resetting the viewpoint in the aircraft config is fine if you don't mind the crappy perspective of flying your aircraft from the passenger cabin. Personally I prefer flying from the cockpit. :-DHope this helps out.Fixed Window30=UpFixed Window31=Forward RightFixed Window32=RightFixed Window33=Rear RightFixed Window34=RearFixed Window35=Rear LeftFixed Window36=LeftFixed Window37=Forward Left(VIEWS)view_forward_WINDOWS=MAIN_PANEL, 50, 70, 80, 90VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=0.9VIEW_FORWARD_EYE=0.0VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=2.5, 0.0, 0.0VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_WINDOWS=31VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_DIR=0.0, 0.0, 45.0VIEW_RIGHT_WINDOWS=32VIEW_RIGHT_EYE=0.0VIEW_RIGHT_DIR=-2.0, 0.0, 90.0VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_WINDOWS=33VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_ZOOM=1.0VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_DIR=0.0, 0.0, 135.0VIEW_REAR_WINDOWS=34VIEW_REAR_ZOOM=1.0VIEW_REAR_EYE=0.5, -1.38, -16.53VIEW_REAR_DIR=0.5, 0.0, 270.0VIEW_REAR_LEFT_WINDOWS=35VIEW_REAR_LEFT_ZOOM=1.0VIEW_REAR_LEFT_DIR=0.0, 0.0, 210.0VIEW_LEFT_WINDOWS=36VIEW_LEFT_EYE=0.0VIEW_FORWARD_LEFT_WINDOWS=37VIEW_FORWARD_LEFT_DIR=7.0, 0.0, 315.0VIEW_UP_WINDOWS=30VIEW_UP_DIR=340.0, 0.0, 0.0If you want both wings, press the view rear (#2) and turn off "num_lock" this will keep you there. Go ahead and turn it back on after you release the key, set yourself in virtual cockpit and you'll now be in the same location behind the wings and you can pan around etc. When going back to cockpit view, you'll still be looking left, hit #2 again to reset the view forward. If you don't, it'll get all messed up until you hit 2 again. If you want to be forward of the wing to see the engines, adjust the last value to bring yourself forward (-16.53).Happy flying!

HiOr just use the Active Camera utility and you can walk around and then position yourself along the cabin wherever you like.Craig Kiltie
