News release...or intentionally crafted misinformation?

Recommended Posts

I read with amusement the 15 Oct 05 news release posted on the Avsim home page regarding the Captain Sim C-130 "now in the beta stages of development."Here's what has been posted on the Captain Sim site for some time now: (www.captainsim.com)>26 Aug '05: Beta Testing is Over!>We would like to thank all the Beta Team members for their help, >time and efforts. We have collected most of the reports and keep >doing our best to release the 'Legendary C-130' as soon as possible. >Stand by for the project progress reports! Will there come a point where Avsim will refuse to any longer play a part in these clowns' poorly-crafted web of misinformation?RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile

I'm impressed your post was even posted by AVSIM with your 'clown' remark....must have slipped through the cracks. I've posted before using a little tongue-n-cheek or a jest such as what your post had and my posts' never made it. AVSIM doesn't want anything to do with anything that may be perceived as controversial....heaven for bid!!...we may 'offend' someone!!! (play dramatic music here)Nonetheless, I agree with your post.-=MAB=-

AVSim has no problem with controversial posts as long as posts abide by the Terms and Conditions agreed to by all posters. If you posts were removed by a moderator, then they violated the ToC.If you never saw your posts, then you either have a browser problem or you posted in a Moderated forum (like the PSS forum) where moderators view all posts before allowing them.

(I mean this in all sincerity). That AVSIM is playing games (can't say I have ever noticed that) or that Captain Sim is? CheersShad

>I am confused... what was the point you were trying to make?>(I mean this in all sincerity). That AVSIM is playing games>(can't say I have ever noticed that) or that Captain Sim is? That Captain Sim is/was. The announcement that the product had just entered beta, made after their own web site already declared the beta complete, all a week or so before the thing actually released... That looks like a storm of misinformation-based propaganda to me. I was wondering if, at some point, it would be considered egregious enough by Tom and the boys to put a muzzle on the flow of bad info being pasted up on the Avsim front page in the form of Captain Sim news releases.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile
