October 28, 200223 yr I want to use it to practice takeoffs and landings, and general navigation....PPL stuff :). Also interested in IFR capabilities.Does anyone own both? What are the pros and cons. I haven't heard anything but rave reviews on each, but what is it that you really like about each one.p.s. Please don't suggest a different plane. I already have the Seneca, and the Cheyenne, and the 421C.
October 28, 200223 yr I own both and prefer the Cardinal. The best with it is the flight dynamics and the panel :)So you can start with buying the Cardinal and buy the Archer later on :)Johnny"I'LL BE BACK"[div align=center]http://www.avsim.com/hangar/fly/josve/fly2/vas.gif ][/div
October 28, 200223 yr Don't have the Archer, but I can say that the Cardinal has the best virtual cockpit, cabin, and external views of any aircraft I've ever had for FS2002.... You can't go wrong with it, IMHO.....
October 28, 200223 yr Thanks for the replies. I'm definitely leaning toward the Cardinal. The panel looks amazing and the GPS seems interesting. Going to pour over the documentation and the "brochures", and then sleep on it.Can someone compare responsiveness, visibility and performance?thanks,Thaellar
October 28, 200223 yr I have both and I find myself going back to the Archer. If you are working on your PPL, get the Archer, it has a more comlete POH/PIM. The Cardinal does come with performance charts, but is missing the W&B section.
October 29, 200223 yr I own both, and my personal preference is for the Archer. The Cardinal has a very pretty panel, but for some reason the Archer seems more real to me, especially the virtual cockpit in 3D sterographic mode via the E-Dimensional glasses, :-kewl which I use most of the time. Of course the Cardinal is a bit more of an airplane than the Archer, but for practice around the pattern and such, the Archer rocks in MHO. Having said that, you can't go wrong either way. :-lolHow's that for saying nothing in several words. LOL Donald E. Donovan Flying is the 2nd greatest thrill known to man The 1st is landing.
October 29, 200223 yr I personally prefer the Cardinal. It's got a nicer looking VC and takes off alot smoother than the Archer does. Over all both aircraft have pretty similar flight dynamics and both fly pretty smooth. Rob
