PAI and TTools

Recommended Posts

Two outstanding programs to keep the skies filled to your own delight. My question is this...can you use either program alone for adding either PAI flight plans or 3rd party AI traffic. In other words, can I add PAI flight plans, aircraft, airports, etc. into my TTools folder and can I add 3rd party traffic into my PAI folder? Or, should these two great programs be used separately? I notice both programs utilize the de-compiler and compiler, but I wasn't sure if I would mess up my traffic.bgl by using only one program for ALL my AI traffic. Confusing question? It's easier to speak it than to type it.Any way, all answers are appreciated. Thanks,Mike

TTools is made up of a Decompiler and a Compiler. PAI uses the TTools decompiler to decompile the existing traffic.bgl before it adds the latest PAI airlines autoinstaller you are adding. It then uses the TTools compiler to make the new traffic.bgl.In essence, it is automating the process. One of the things you should not is PAI places the latest:Flightplans.txtAirports.txtAircraft.txtfiles in your fs2002scenedbATCScenery folder. Therefore, if you are going to manually install additional flightplans, airports, or aircraft, you need to use these files to start. There are several other programs to assist in managing AI:AITM - http://www.molitor-home.de/FS/AITMyRoute - http://www.spacejock.comOnce you add your additions, and before you use another PAI autoinstaller, you need to replace the three files mentioned above with the updated three files you made.
