Flying Babies

Recommended Posts

I can't be the only one who has an anklebiter who, if Daddy is to be allowed to play on his "poota", insists that at least a few of her favourite characters should be there. So we have Joe and Steve piloting Blue's Lear, for example:http://www.swiremariners.com/blue.jpgNot to mention, my daughter herself in a certain ultralight, Daddy in a Cessna, a Dora The Explorer storybook instead of a chart on the seat of a certain Bell 47 helicopter in the VC, etc. My little Katherine is pretty handy on both yoke and joystick now, although she's some years off reaching the pedals.Shigeru Tanaka has, of course, done marvellous things with flying dogs, Harry Potter broomsticks and so on at http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/shigeru/ ... but has anyone else? Is Buzz Lightyear out there somewhere for FS2002? OK, I know, copyright, copyright, but anyway I ask the question. Any other doting Daddys done their thing? Maybe we could swap characters ...Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

Oh, Sweet Lord...that is rich...I just about wet myself when I saw Blue's Cruise. Where can I score a copy of that? My 5 yr old daughter would go ape over that!

It was a rush job but it's adequately cool for a five year old, sure. Give me your email and I'll wing over the relevant bitmap, no prob. Mark "Dark Moment" BeaumontP.S. You'll need one of my Rick Sasala Lear repaints as a base to add this texture option - this is not the default Lear. At Avsim ... Cathay, BA or private liveries.P.P.S. It's not Joe and Steve driving, actually, but my daughter says it is so that's fine by me ...http://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/reds.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/redsig.jpg

My daughter is taking "baby steps" towards flying... She turned three two weeks ago, and is doing a pretty good job of understanding the relationship of the joystick to aircraft movement... Had her flying the new MU-2 over the weekend. That was a great deal of fun!I knew she'd love to visit me, and like all kids she loves to doodle. So I wrote a paint program for her, which is akin to a spirograph one can manipulate with a mouse. Had it posted on ZDNet for a while, then they pulled it for some unknown reason. No email, no word at all. They did have some blurb on their site about how software not meeting their standards could be pulled. No matter, it meets my daughter's!Maybe Avsim will allow a new file lib section--"FS Parental Assistant Utilities". Then I can upload my proggie here :)
