Hi Simmers,http://www.gjsmith.com/images/Airtwork.gifGJSmith.com Artworks is proud to announce the availability of a FREE Graphics Tutorial for FS2002With the consent of Computer Pilot Magazine I have now been able to put my entire Graphic's Tutorial on "Creating Aircraft Textures" ONLINE for your use. This tutorial was originally published in the May 2002 issue of Computer Pilot Volume 6 Issue 4http://www.gjsmith.com/Tutorial/Tutorial%2...ges/step_62.jpgNOTE - This is a FREE service to the Simming Community - Computer Pilot has graciously consented to this release on my web site as an example of the commitment that they also have to the Simming World and I appreciate their giving me the opportunity to make this tutorial available to all simmers for FREE.The Tutorial contains all 11 pages of the article including the important steps (in detail) required to create Reflective Effects - see Part 6.http://www.gjsmith.com/Tutorial/Tutorial%2...-cp-1-small.jpgThis tutorial is intended for the novice and professional painter of textures as I have included many of the methods and processes that I use to paint the liveries that I release. It consists of Over 6000 words and more than 40 images to assist you in creating your liveries. I have reproduced this tutorial in HTML format and have broken it into 8 web pages so that you can deal with it in acceptable chunks.I hope that this tutorial is of benefit to those budding and creative artists out there and that it helps the simming community to get more and more liveries released for us all to enjoy. The Tutorial is available on my "How To" Pages but to make life a little easier here is a direct link to it:http://www.gjsmith.com/Tutorial/Tutorial.htmPLEASE Bear in mind - you all know that I do graphically intense web pages so I apologise in advance for the content volume but I have seriously tried to make it convenient for us all to effectively use.And of course for those that are not inclined to do texture painting there is now well over 300 FREE textures available for your flying pleasure on my site:http://www.gjsmith.com/Textures/enter_fs2002.htm - just go to the "By-Type" page for the menu of aircraft liveries available.Happy SimmingGarry J. Hi Garry,Well, actually I have been meaning to ask you this for a long time.. (but was afraid to ask).. I actualy did a search on Google for metal alphabet and came up with nothing. But take a look at my web site.. the banner says 'The DC-3 Hangar" and under it in smaller lettering is 'douglasdc3.com' kind of 3D with shadow. Was looking for simple plain metallic silver lettering was all, since it goes with the silver type metal on an aircraft. We could take this via e-mail if you like (trev@douglasdc3.com)Regards..
