Revamp of Rey Lopez's F86 Textures

Recommended Posts

Guest

Hi Simmers,Well at last someone has released an F86 Sabre for me to tinker with - this one has been developed by Rey in FSDS2 and supports reflective effects and I have gone a little bit over the top with reflectives in revamping his original texture release.http://www.gjsmith.com/images/F86-USAF-1.jpgThis revamped texture is now available at:http://www.gjsmith.com/textures/f86.htmMany more to come I think as this is my most favourite aircraft. Don't forget now 320 free textures available at my site:http://www.gjsmith.com/textures/enter_fs2002.htmhappy simmingGarry J. Can you tell me about the panel? When I started up the F86, I found the panel to be the one I use in one of my large jets (A320 -I think). I wonder about obtaining a "F86" looking panel.TNXJim

Rey's F86 uses a MS default panel at the moment - many people are seeking an appropriate F86 panel for her. Just keep your eye on the forums. When someone finds and appropriate panel there will be undoubtedly a note on the forums letting all know about it.Regards Garry J. Garry,You may already be aware of it, but there was a beautiful F-86 released for FS2000 a while back (the first FS2000 airplane I had seen with rolling wheels). Anyway the author is a gentleman by the name of Hayden Paul Scott-Williams, and his F-86 included a somewhat basic but military looking panel (I think much better than one of the default panels). It is, however a 2k panel but I don't recall anything 'trick' about it and it will probably work fine in 2k2. The file is on the 'other' site as f86ev01.zip. I haven't used it with 2k2 yet, but if it works it should hold us over until someone gets creative. My father flew the F-86 in Korea and I believe still has the manuals and tech reference materials. I'll be visiting him hopefully during the next month or so and I'll see what he still has (I'm thinking maybe some cockpit layout drawings or photos - if anyone's interested).Leon
