I wonder if The ATR aircraft has spoilers?

Featured Replies

HiI wonder if the ATR plane has spoilers? The ATR plane and panel from the EUROWINGS software package are very good, exept the manual how the fmc and the selection of things for the ATR are not so clear. I don't understand why some people always have to be so down and blue that the panels are not perfect realistic, often they don't know how the real panel looks like or works. I think that the panels from Eurowings ATR and BAe are very realistic, just compare with pictures on Airliners.net and you will see how great they are. The 777, 747, Airbus 320 are also very realistic and almost perfect. Take a look at the real ones, before you see the one in the sim. Remember that real sims for planes cost milions of dollars, so compare to that the panels for FS2002 have a very good prize and are almost perfect, so what do you want more????Think about this and amuse your self and if you don't know how panels work just drop a question like i do and go on.Best regards,

Hi, The ATR has spoilerons, but they do not act as speed brakes. The problem is that FS cannot model pure spoilerons, so as soon as spoilerons are added to an aircraft, they will also act as spioilers. What I did in my ATR's was not to include any spoiler lever (the ATR does not have). The spoilers will anyhow deploy if you hit the keyboard comand for them; and the problem is that a deployed spoiler will remain unnoticed until you look at the aircraft from external view, as there is no indicator gauge.I'm just curious about the eurowings ATR panel. I do not have it (I have my own ATR's instead :-) ), but the pics I have seen look really nice. What I would like to know is if they have implemented the quite unique functions an ATR has: Power management with torque adjustment bugs and automatic torque on the -500 series, condition levers with fuel shutoff position (and auto position for propeller rpm in the -500), etc.Pacosailplane.jpgStultorum numerus infinitus est.

Thanks Paco,I'am not that specialised in the ATR, so i'am not able to answer your question, but i hope you right, that would be even better.Bset regards,
