November 14, 200223 yr Bumping this, as Richard's contributions have helped to improve all of flightsimming, and his strength and spirit are nothing short of inspirational. If you are of the praying type or not, he could use all the good thoughts you can muster. -Greg
November 14, 200223 yr There aren't many men who attempt to topple M$ from their crown on the Flight sim list and I'm sure he would have if the proper resources were under his belt, hope he fully recovers like last time. Goodluck Richard
November 14, 200223 yr Rich's situation should give us all a moment of pause. His life and the obvious lessons that can be learned contain one of great importance; that of perspective. THAT lesson is one that we should all take aboard. And if you haven't already, please contribute to the Richard Harvey Endowed Scholarship and help us fulfill an aviator's dream.Go here and please help: www.avsim.com/pages/scholarship.shtml

November 14, 200223 yr I'm very saddened to read this. My prayers are with Rich and his family. We can only hope for a miracle. Rich has contributed beyond belief to the progress of flight simulation. What we enjoy today in FS2002 and CFS3 is no doubt indirectly due to his team's endeavors in Fly! / Fly!2. I see his comments about Fly! (future versions) being discontinued by TRI. If there's any hope for the release of the proprietary code to another willing and able developer, we might see Rich's past work further enhanced in the future.Rich- if you read this, my thoughts are with you and your family.Bruce.
