How to test memory?

Recommended Posts

Guest

Is there a way to test memory (software) that's better than SiSoft Sandra? Before my complete reinstall, it seemed my 1 gig of supposedly DDR 2100 memory didn't test too well.I remember a long time ago something that you had to put on a floppy because it ran its memory checks before starting windows. Anything out there to do this? And how can I tell if I was given crappy memory? It just seems compared to everyone else with similar systems that I'm getting nowhere near the fps I should be. If I start up in the DreamFleet 737-400 at KLAX at runway 7L using full daylight (i.e. click on night, then on day to reset it to sun-highest time of day), I get 5-6 fps. That's before I start rolling or anything and after I've let the fps "stabilize". All my sliders are maxed. My system is:Soyo K7V Dragon MBAMD XP1600+ 1 gig RAMGeForce 3 Ti500 (set to 2x AA) using 28.32 driversGeForce Vanta PCI vid card for second monitorWindows XP ProThanks, in anticipation.Thomas LinTaxiwaySigns.com
