Have you tried just programming RCTL (without the HOLD)?. HOLD should really only be needed if there are multiple keys involved and you want to hold them all down at once. For a single key, it should end up being held for as long as the button is down anyway.- BobThe StickWorkshttp://www.stickworks.com

>> Wold help to LOAD CHSTART I guess <. The program is loaded, actually, but it's a disaster trying to enable it during the boot process and MS (in it's infinite wisdom) provides no way to know that the boot process is complete. Running the little app at startup is the only way to do it reliably.>> Now if I can only figure out RCTL <http://www.stickworks.com

There's a definite difference in the keys. The LCTL sends just a "1D" make and a "9D" break. RCTL prefixes those with "E0", i.e. "E0 1D" and "E0 9D". I suspect that what you see in the NotePad menu is probably just a result of Windows not caring which CTL key you use.Are you saying that you can program KP0 to the button and it works okay? Do you know of anyone using a USB keyboard and getting RCTL (or any key) to work in R/W directly from the keyboard itself?- BobThe StickWorkshttp://www.stickworks.com

Well, the CM should work if the USB keyboard works, I'm not sure what the problem might be. Something in the keyboard packet that the CM sends that R/W doesn't like I guess. If you want to try to figure out what, drop me a note (sticky at stickworks dot com). I can set up a filter for you that will show us what the Logitech sends and we can compare it with what the CM sends, see what the difference is.- BobThe StickWorkshttp://www.stickworks.com

For any of you who may have been watching this thread, the problem turned out to be a misassignment of the key names in the Control Manager. Programming "RCTL" actually sends "RALT", and programming "RALT" send "RCTL". Until the next update becomes available, you can work around it by just programming RALT when you want RCTL and vice-versa.- BobThe StickWorkshttp://www.stickworks.com
