Debonair - Engine Out - Dynamics of AP

Recommended Posts

Using my newly arrived multi channel data recorder I went on a flight with the Excellent Debonair by Geoff and recorded what happens when you are at 5000 ft, at cruise power/speed, on autopilot, and you run out of fuel while sleeping, or doing other things and do not take control of the aircraft. ;-)Angle of Attack 180 = level flight in this data set. Values below 180 are NOSE UP values. True AoA = 180-Graph value. we will fix next time.http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3dd965292ea951df.jpgI don't think anyone is alive that has any real data to tell me I am wrong. ;-) Enjoy.BobNeed help understanding the dynamics of your new release?we r rsam@mtco.com... I replaced the battery pack in the digital multi channel recorder and got the Beechcraft Debonair test pilot to take us for a data run to demonstrate the roll rate of the aircraft. These tests are being conducted with about 25% fuel in the tanks. Zero wind, 85F air to engine and a standard barometer. Just like we ran engines in the test lab.http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3dd9b80b2c1565a7.jpgBob
