XP Pro doesn't see Gamecard CH stick and pedals... sort of...

Featured Replies

Ok, this is weird - (Gamecard)I have an F-16 Fighter Stick - but the options in CH's own software specify either an F-16 Flight Stick or simply a Fighter Stick... wha?Anyway, I seem to have no trouble getting the devices recognized... but absolutely nothing shows up in calibration! No movement, nothing!Otherwise, the control panel and calibration act as if nothing's wrong.Huh?Any help appreciated!thxAndrew

First, did you install the MOBO Controller Chip drivers, i.e., Intel, VIA, SiS, AMD, ALi, NForce? If not, start there and make sure you have the drivers for WinXP.After you have all the updates to WinXP installed, then start tackling applications and peripherals. I would visit the joystick vendor site and see if they have updated drivers for WinXP.When you say gamecard, do you mean an audio card with gameport that you attach to the CH stick and pedals? If so, you may have problems. See if the audio/gamecard has WinXP drivers that enable an MPU-401 Midi Interface. Some audio/gamecard ports don't enable this port by default.W. Sieffert

Hi - Well, CH isn't too keen on gameport controllers and XP, sadly. I have a big investment in their stuff, and it's apparently just becoming an expensive pile of junk. The gamecard (gameport) is simply the CH Gamecard III Automatic.Regarding the drivers for XP, I'm not sure what all that stuff is, but I've certainly looked for drivers on CH's site; they're just not really supported any more.I've posted on CH's forum and hopefully will get some relief. Thanks,Andrew
