Mouse Pointer - Strange Behaviour

Recommended Posts

Hi all,I'm hoping someone might have some advice on what may be causing my mouse to act strangely. It keeps freezing and then will drift across the screen. Even now it keeps pausing. I have done a virus check, spybot, and even Microsofts new antispyware beta, to no avail. (Have also done system restore)I did read somewhere that the cpu may be getting to hot and causing it to freeze. I have done a Hijackthis report if anyone who knows what there looking for may peruse. Any advise what be great.Regards Adam ________________________________________________________Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1Scan saved at 23:59:14, on 03/03/2005Platform: Windows XP SP1 (WinNT 5.01.2600)MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP1 (6.00.2800.1106)Running processes:C:WINDOWSSystem32smss.exeC:WINDOWSsystem32winlogon.exeC:WINDOWSsystem32services.exeC:WINDOWSsystem32lsass.exeC:WINDOWSSystem32Ati2evxx.exeC:WINDOWSsystem32svchost.exeC:WINDOWSSystem32svchost.exeC:WINDOWSsystem32spoolsv.exeC:PROGRA~1GrisoftAVGFRE~1avgamsvr.exeC:PROGRA~1GrisoftAVGFRE~1avgupsvc.exeC:WINDOWSSystem32CTSvcCDA.EXEC:Program FilesExecutive SoftwareDiskeeperDkService.exeC:Program FilesCommon FilesEPSONEBAPISAgent2.exeC:PROGRA~1McAfee.comPERSON~1MPFSERVICE.exeC:WINDOWSSystem32svchost.exeC:WINDOWSSystem32MsPMSPSv.exeC:WINDOWSsystem32Ati2evxx.exeC:WINDOWSExplorer.EXEC:PROGRA~1McAfee.comPERSON~1MpfAgent.exeC:Program FilesLogitechiTouchiTouch.exeC:WINDOWSSystem32CTHELPER.EXEC:WINDOWSSystem32PROMon.exeC:PROGRA~1INSTAN~1INSTAN~1IWCTRL.EXEC:PROGRA~1TEXTBR~1.0BinINSTAN~1.EXEC:Program FilesCreativeSBAudigy2Surround MixerCTSysVol.exeC:Program FilesCreativeSBAudigy2DVDAudioCTDVDDet.EXEC:Program FilesCommon FilesRealUpdate_OBrealsched.exeC:Program FilesCommon FilesAOLACSAOLDial.exeC:PROGRA~1McAfee.comPERSON~1MpfTray.exeC:Program FilesQuickTimeqttask.exeC:WINDOWSSystem32P2P NetworkingP2P Networking.exeC:WINDOWSSystem32RUNDLL32.exeC:Program FilesWildTangentAppsGameChannel.exeC:WINDOWSSystem32GSICON.EXEC:WINDOWSSystem32dslagent.exeC:PROGRA~1GrisoftAVGFRE~1avgcc.exeC:windowssystem32vxtughjj.exeC:PROGRA~1COMMON~1AOLAOLSPY~1AOLSP Scheduler.exeC:PROGRA~1GrisoftAVGFRE~1avgemc.exeC:Program FilesCreativeMediaSourceDetectorCTDetect.exeC:Program FilesMessengermsmsgs.exeC:program filesCommon FilesRTERTEGPRS.exeC:program filesE-ColorCommonIconMgr.exeC:windowssystem32packager.exeC:Program FilesE-ColorColorifichgcctl95.exeC:Program FilesE-ColorE-Color IndicatorTICIcon.exeC:Program FilesLogitechMouseWaresystemem_exec.exeC:Program FilesCommon FilesAOLACSAOLacsd.exeC:PROGRA~1WinZipwinzip32.exeC:unzippedhijackthisHijackThis.exeR0 - I should add that it is a trackman marble serial mouse. I've cleaned the bugger, reloaded the drivers, everything I think. Have never had a problem. I am now using an older standard mouse which seems to be behaving so just maybe it's on the blink.Adam:-beerchug
