July 28, 200520 yr Hi Guys,Tried traffic at 0%. Made no difference. I checked the running processes just in case something untoward is being fired up when FS9 comes in. There were 157 modules in the FS9.exe process! Quite a few were gauge files so I guess that's normal. Nothing in there looking at all suspicious though. On a new tack I decided to pull a few scenery sliders back and a degree of smoothness has returned. In fact I can now fly around Scotflight's Edinburgh airport several times without descending into stutter country. But I've lost some scenery definition so it's a case of being given with one hand and taking away with the other. Maybe I should go back to FS2000 - should perform like a dream on a P4 3Ghz!Argghhhh!AndyB
July 28, 200520 yr Author Your porbably right about fs 2000 on a P4 however it might turn out to be a bad dream go with fs 98 LOL
August 16, 200520 yr Hi Mate See if turning the virtual cockpit gauges detail down to low helps,...it has helped me but makes the gauges low res , a way around this is to up the pixel detail in the panel cfg , the default a/c will be 512,512 change it to 1024,1024 ...doing this makes the gauges look like the high setting but with better frame rates .. its weired but does work .
